There are many ways to make money by blogging. Here are some of the ways:
- Pay per click advertising
- Sell your own advertising on your blog
- Sell text links on your blog or website
- CPM ad networks
- Pop-ups
- Paid reviews
1. Pay per click advertising
Pay-per click ads are also known as Cost Per Click (CPC), is one of the most common models of internet advertising. It simply means an advertiser, will pay you once someone clicks on your ads.
- Infolinks
Infolinks is the best way to implement in-text advertising on your blog or website. It offers publishers a 70% revenue share and follows a PPC (Pay Per Click) model.
They pay you via PayPal, Wire Transfer, ACH, Payoneer, eCheck and western union, once you have reached the initial limit of $50 for PayPal or $100 for eCheck, Western Union, Wire Transfer, so it depends on the mode of payment you have chosen.
- Media.net
Media.net is another big alternative to Adsense and is powered by the Yahoo bing network. The ads featured are contextual focusing on relevant keywords and that makes some time before they are optimized for your site.
The money transfer options are Wire Transfer and PayPal, and the minimum threshold for payout is %100.
- Chitika
Chitika is another alternative that serves only contextual ads and offers a CPM program. The best thing is that they have the minimum threshold payout of $10 if you are getting paid via PayPal, but if you are getting paid via check then the minimum threshold payout is $50.
2. Sell ads on your blog
If you are already getting the decent traffic, then you may want to take controls in your hand and sell direct ads on your website. The only thing to do this is that you have to add a page "Advertise with us" on your blog or website.
- BuySellAds
BuySellAds is an online ad-marketing place where you can list all your ads for others to buy. They don't accept low traffic blogs, if you have just started your blog or website, then you have to wait for at least 6 months so that your blog or website will have good traffic.
There is no minimum threshold for payout and you can remove money two times every month to your PayPal account.
- Blogads
Blogads works in similar manner like BuySellAds, they keep 30% of all ads sales as their commission. If you refer new users then you can earn 15% of the earnings also.
If you are receiving money via PayPal, then you should have a minimum fund of $75 and for check and Wire Transfer, you should have a minimum fund of $750.
3. Sell text links on your blog
If you get good organic traffic, then you can try sell text links ads where you link a piece of text on your site to another page on a different site.
- LinkWorth
LinkWorth is a popular text-link network where you will also find options to use rotating text ads, paid reviews, etc.
Minimum threshold payout is $25 via PayPal if you are getting paid via PayPal and $100 for Check, Wire Transfer and EFT.
4. CPM ad networks
With CPC, your income can vary hugely but that is not the case with CPM. Let's say if your CPM network set your CPM at $5 per 100,000 impressions then you will make $500 when the number is reached.
- PulsePoint
PulsePoint is a popular CPM ad network where you can set your own CPM prices. In order to be accepted in their network your sites need to have good amount of original content. They mostly sell to a US-based traffic. You receive your earnings every 45 days via EFT, PayPal and Check.
5. Pop-ups
Granted many advertisers and bloggers dislike popups ads but it is still an option. You can display these ads as pop-ups and pop-unders.
- PopAds
PopAds offers pop-under ads and works quite well with an English speaking traffic. You can set your own prices and the pop-under frequency for each visitor.
You can get paid via AlertPay, PayPal and Wire Transfer and you can withdraw your payments anytime. They also run a referral program at 10% of the earnings.
6. Paid Reviews
The best thing about this arrangement is that you command a price per view. I have websites asking anywhere form $150 to $500 for reviews.
- SponsoredReviews
SponsoredReviews allows the advertisers to create backlinks and and bloggers to earn money. It connects bloggers to search engine optimizers, marketers and advertisers who want to build traffic.
You can set your own price per piece. And you are not expected to write positive reviews only, you can write any post.
Payments are made bi-weekly via PayPal.
- PayU2Blog
PayU2Blog is another alternative to get paid to write blog posts on your blog or website. Not all blogs are taken in, so you have to wait for sign up and wait before you know.
PayU2Blog works a bit differently in that they assign a you a blog post topic in areas such as real estate, health, retail, etc. You don't have to write glorious reviews or endorse anything if you don't believe in a product or service. You get paid via PayPal every two weeks.
I think it's echo waxing there over echo much detail in ecplaing how to... amazing
